| Jacksonville Beach Open
Water Challenge Series for 2003 will be coming on May 10 and June 7, 2003
-- set aside those dates for some fun and adventure at the beach. On both dates, Paddleboard
and Surfboard paddling races will be combined with all ages and all
abilities invited to compete together. The Beach Duathlon will continue to
take place on both dates, with a separate start for Youth Duathlon
participants. The Kayak races were very popular and will be continued for
both dates in 2003, and may include some longer distances, too.

Race Day packet pick-up
& Late Registration at the ARC Lifesaving Station, on Beach Blvd., Jax
Beach from 7 - 10:00AM. Fluids at the Start, at Transition/Halfway,
and Finish. Accurate measured courses. Colorful T-Shirts for
pre-registered entrants in each race. Participant's one-day membership in
USA Triathlon is included in your registration. USA Triathlon annual
members showing USAT I.D. card at registration receive a $5.00
discount/race. USA Tri rules and regulations apply at each duathlon race.
AWARDS: Duathlons--winner in all age groups, plus Special Prizes to
Overall & Masters, male & female winners. FREE race-number
drawings and refreshments following the races. Awards to
winners in Kayak Races and Surfboard Paddle Races.

entry, I, the undersigned intending to be legally bound, hereby, for
myself and anyone acting on my behalf, release any and all claims for
damages I may have against the City of Jacksonville Beach, American Red
Cross, Performance MultiSports, the race directors and any sponsors and
their representatives, successors and assigns for any and all injuries and
death suffered by me in said event. I attest and verify that I know that a
running and biking competition can be a potentially hazardous activity.
However, I have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and
know that I am participating at my own risk. I am also aware of the
dangers of exercising or competing in hot weather and humidity. I have
read this waiver of liability and accept the risks and responsibility
associated with entering this event. I further acknowledge that I will be
required to sign the USA Triathlon Acknowledgement, Waiver & Release
from Liability (AWRL) during the registration process prior to competing
on race day. I hereby grant permission for the free use of my name and
