CLOSEST Hotels/Motels to Hanna Park Race Site:   Comfort Inn - Mayport (800-968-5513 at 2401 Mayport Rd, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233) offers a special discount for our racers. Let them know that you are participating in our race for the best room rates. Also nearby is the Best Western (866-355-3116 at 2389 Mayport Rd., in Atlantic Beach. Both are only about a mile from Hanna Park, making these the closest lodging to the race site.  If you are in the military, you may also want to contact Naval Station Mayport about lodging.

CAMPING: There is camping at Hanna Park -- you could not get closer to the race site than to camp here.  Hanna Park has a link from the City of Jacksonville's web site at www.coj.net/fun/ .  The park has a variety of campsites, plus some primitive cabins that have electricity and are air conditioned!

Hanna Park is located at 500 Wonderwood Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32233 -- at the intersection of Mayport Road and Wonderwood Drive.  After you have selected your lodging, try using www.Mapquest.com to get good directions from your home or hotel.  You can get very specific directions at Mapquest from your home or hotel/motel to Hanna Park.  You will just need to enter your starting location and your destination (which is Hanna Park).   Once in Hanna Park, follow the instructions or signs to the BEAR race site. On Race Day, the front gate attendant at Hanna Park should also be able to give you specific directions from that point.

OTHER NEARBY Hotels/Motels: There are a variety of motels and hotels in the Jacksonville Beach and Atlantic Beach areas, such as Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, Day's Inn, Sea Turtle Inn, and Best Western. We recommend that you contact any of these chains or individual hotels via their 800 numbers to select your choice. The Sea Turtle Inn in Atlantic Beach is one of the closest, but the others in Jacksonville Beach are only a couple miles farther.

CLOSEST Hotels/Motels to Stephen Foster State Park Race Site: The Stephen Foster State Park camping area is usually reserved for the Suwannee Bicycle Association's Bike Fest events. To camp at the park during the SBA event, please contact Kim Frawley (phone: 904-797-7290) about accommodations in the park and whether you are in a tent or RV (and size of camper). There is an additional $8/person/night fee (to Suwannee Bicycle Assn.) to camp at the State Park.
