The GATOR Adventure Race

6, 12, or 24 Hours of Adventure in NE Florida

Mountain Bike -- Trails & beach, 30-40 miles Orienteering -- Navigation and finding your way
Trek/Run-- Off-road, 12-24 miles

How to Enter -- The Elite Division is made up of 4-Person Coed Teams. Enter as a Team using the printable entry form above. For both the 12- and 24-hour races, Teams must be made up of either two or four competitors on each team. In the 6-hour race, Teams may be made up of 3- or 2-person teams or solo athletes. All competitors must enter as Teams. No competitor can be on more than one team. Entry fees must be sent with completed entry form.

Examples: In the 24-hour race, a Four-person Team is $360 postmarked by three weeks before the race; fee is $400 if postmarked from three weeks before the race until date of final registration and check-in. In the 12-hour race, the entry fee per Two-person Team is $160 if postmarked more than three weeks before the race; fee  is $200 if entry is postmarked less than three weeks before the race until date of final registration and check-in. Register early to save $$.
For Military/Public Safety Teams, Performance Multisports offers a 10% discount while Team space permits. To qualify, entry must be postmarked more than three weeks before race date, and mailed with payment and photocopy of work I.D., such as police, fire department, or military I.D. Military/Public Safety teams must contact Race Director [or phone (904) 285-1552], to as sure entry.

Entries are limited to 100 teams; send in your completed entry form soon. Teams must be available on the evening before the race, for check-in and mandatory pre-race meeting. All participants must complete the USARA Waiver/Membership Application and Medical Info Sheet, and turn them in to Race Registration before the Mandatory Meeting on the evening before the race at 6:30pm.  Entrants with valid USARA (US Adventure Racing Association) annual membership cards will be covered for required event insurance -- all others will need to pay a $8 one-day insurance fee for this event. Entry fee includes course design, site permitting, insurance, mystery events, race management, custom GATOR race shirt, race numbers, finisher’s medals, post race refreshments and party, and awards for the top teams. Entry Space -- Entry spaces go fast, so send your entry form and fees as soon as possible. Entries will not be processed without payment. DO NOT mail entries after the Monday prior to the race -- During the last week, call to confirm space first. If event is not sold out and space is available, Registration will be open from 5:00 - 6:20PM on the evening before the race prior to the 6:30pm mandatory check-in and pre-race meeting.  Confirmed Teams entered will be posted on our website. Communications to Teams will be by email, so be sure to print all email addresses for your Team. Checks and entry forms will be returned if event sells out and there is not room for a team. The GATOR is a challenging team race, combining varied terrain in some of the First Coast's most beautiful natural oceanside settings. Teams will participate in mountain biking, off-road running/trekking, open water paddling, non-technical climbing,  and various mystery events. This is a great multisport adventure and a great celebration of individual and team achievement. Part of the proceeds from The GATOR will go to Charities Challenge (a non-profit sports and fitness organization).

Teamwork -- All teams compete together to complete each segment of the course, reaching each Check Point and crossing the finish line as a team. The order and distance of each leg is not revealed except during the race itself and mystery tests are just that -- mysteries, until teams reach them. The GATOR is a test of teamwork, camaraderie, willpower, and determination -- open to everyone: accomplished athletes, those serious about their fitness, and even weekend warriors -- anyone up to the test, ready to play hard, and prepared have a day of adventure with friends, family, and teammates. You can even create your own race within the race against your other friends or co-workers on other Teams.

Cancellation Policy: Much of the cost of providing an adventure race is spent long before you arrive at the race site. In fact, most of our costs need to be paid in advance and are not recoverable. If written cancellation of registration is initiated by the participant more than 21 days in advance of the event date, full credit will be available. If cancellation notice is sent 21 days or less (before the race), a 75% credit will be applied; 10 days or less, a 50% credit; less than 48 hours notice, or no notice ("no shows") will receive no credit. Any such credit is good for 120 days from the date of the scheduled event toward entry/registration in another similar Performance Multisports event. Refunds are not available.
