The BEAR -- Beach Extreme Adventure Race
-- 12-hour and 6-hour time-limit races offered -- in Hanna Park,
Jacksonville, FL
This multisport team challenge includes a combination of several sports in one race:
beach trekking/running, mountain biking, non-technical ropes and
climbing,
open water paddling, backwoods orienteering, and special mystery challenges. The race is for
teams of two or four athletes, competing together from start to finish. Duration of this year's
longer race is expected to be from 8-12 hours, with an 12-hour time limit. Racers
will enjoy the
natural features of the Jacksonville Beaches area, including the communities of Mayport
& Atlantic Beach.

Annual MS150 ride - from World Golf Village
to Daytona Beach on Saturday and return on Sunday. For
those preparing for the Florida Ironman, Saturday has a 100- mile option.
The course is marked with Police and volunteers at most intersections,
so it is a good training ride two weeks out
to Panama City. This ride is
approximately 75 miles each day with the option of a 150
Km course for those who choose a shorter distance.

Paddle Challenge & Race - presented by Performance Multisports
-- start and
finish at Huguenot Park - Jacksonville, FL, at
9:00 AM on the lagoon. The
Marsh Course will go north on Ft George River and Simpson Creek to
a turnaround point north of Little Talbot Island, and then return. In addition, there is a Short
Marsh Course which will go to Long Island Outfitters on Ft
George River and Simpson Creek and return to Huguenot to finish.
For those who would like to get out on the
water, but don't care to race, we also offer non-competitive tours
of the Fort George River/Simpson Creek route, starting at
Huguenot Park.
