We have been hard at work
designing new adventures here in Northeast Florida. We are again producing the
Jetty-2-Jetty Ultramarathon
& Team Relay (35 miles, solo
or relay, or on bike) on 2/28/09. This year, we will be
hosting a series of Adventure Races. This will
be the 10th year for The BEAR on 8/31/08, over
Labor Day weekend. The 4th annual Timucuan
Challenge Paddle Race takes place in 2008 -- watch the calendar below
for details. We offer the Running the Blues 5K -- part of the great Springing
the Blues Music Festival in early April. For the fifth year, we are also
working with the Katie Caples Foundation to create a beautiful route for the
charity bike tour on 4/18/09: The Katie Ride for Life. Most of our Performance Multisports races
are available for online registration at Active.com. See The detailed
schedule below for links to entering online.

Camps -- Though not an actually produced
by Performance Multisports, we want to inform you about a great
opportunity for girls and women to learn to surf: Saltwater
Cowgirls Surf Camps provides instruction and guidance just for
girls and women to learn the joy of surfing on the waves of Jacksonville
Beach, Florida. All the camps' instructors are women surfers and
enrollment is also strictly for females. There are special camps for
mothers and daughters, weekend camps, and five-day camps for girls under
18 during the summers. I can attest to the success of their teaching, as I
have seen their results in the way my daughter has learned to surf with a
passion. |
