Saltwater Cowgirl Surf Camps

Though not an activity produced by Performance Multisports, we want to inform you about a great opportunity to learn to surf (no, not online -- on the water!): Saltwater Cowgirls Surf Camps provides instruction and guidance just for girls and women to learn the joy of surfing on the waves of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. All the camps' instructors are women surfers and enrollment is also strictly for females. There are special camps for mothers and daughters, weekend camps, and five-day camps for girls under 18 during the summers.

Saltwater Cowgirls Surf Camp is a day camp dedicated to bringing together girls and women of all ages through the sport of surfing. As they say, "All of our instructors are chicks who rip and they can teach anybody to surf! If you already surf, they'll teach you to shred! Plus, you'll meet plenty of other girls/women just like you, so you'll never have to surf alone (or with just the guys) again!"

The camp consists of beach and water instruction, a strong focus on water and board safety, and they keep a 6 to 1 student-instructor ratio. In addition to surf instruction, campers play "surf basketball," have paddle races, and do a ton of other activities that will make camp a blast!
