April 24, 2010 - celebrating Earth Day |

Walk for the Planet at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens |
| Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens’ inaugural Walk in the Wild is a
non-competitive 2-mile family fun walk through the Zoo. All proceeds
benefit the conservation efforts of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, a
non-profit organization. |
| Stay with us for the day. Walk for the Planet registration fees
include admission into the Zoo for the whole day! Check out the komodo
dragon in the Asian Garden exhibit, or visit with the birds in the
Emerald Forest Aviary in the Range of the Jaguar after the walk.~ |
Times
7:00 a.m. – Check-in and day-of registration at Zoo entrance
7:30 a.m. – 2-mile Walk for the Planet family fun walk begins at
Main Camp
8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. – Post-party at the Great Lawn with giant
slide,
bounce house, face painting, prize drawings, live entertainment, snacks
and beverages |
| Registration (now –April 19th): |
 | Non-members: $25 for adult , $15 for child (ages 3-12) |
|
| Zoo Members: $20 for adult, $10 for child (ages 3-12) |
|
| Family prices: |
| $50 for a non-member family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children),
|
|
| $40 for Zoo member family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children),
$10 for each additional child |
|
Late and day-of-event (April 20th - 24th):
prices are an additional $5 per registration
Children 2 and under are FREE, but do not receive t-shirts or
participant bibs

Each registered participant receives:
| admission into the Zoo for the entire day, |
| a commemorative Walk for the Planet T-shirt, |
| entrance into the Walk for the Planet post-party, |
| post party following the walk, |
| win prizes by answering questions about the Zoo and its
inhabitants |
| entry into drawing prizes, |
| refreshments, |
| live entertainment, |
| bounce house and giant inflatable slide, |
| a stroller-friendly walk. |
